The Feel Great System

We know that intermittent fasting is a great way to increase insulin sensitivity over time. But it can be hard to keep up especially if you have strong cravings for carbs. The "Feel Great System" (FGS) is a new approach to intermittent fasting that aims to make the practice more manageable and sustainable for individuals looking to improve their health and well-being. The system is based on a 16:8 fasting schedule, where individuals avoid eating for 16 hours of the day and eat during an 8-hour window. Many who adopt FGS find it easy to remain on a 16:8 schedule for long periods of time. Some have been on the system for a decade or more with great success. There are two key components of FGS: Unimate and Balance. Unimate, a concentrated form of Yerba Mate, which is a popular South American beverage that is known for its energizing and appetite-suppressing properties. By drinking Unimate in the morning, individuals following the FGS plan can start their day feeling energized and with a reduced appetite, making it easier to stick to their fasting schedule. Another important aspect of FGS is Balance, which is a mix of vitamins, soluble and insoluble fiber. The idea behind Balance is that it slows down the digestion of carbohydrates, which in turn makes individuals feel full for longer. By taking Balance 5-10 minutes before their first and second meals, individuals following FGS can better control their appetite and reduce the temptation to snack between meals.
